Deaf Cyclist Riding Patches

Let me drop sone knowledge on you: Ever wonder how in what language a deaf person thinks? I came across this great article on the topic that was really interesting, I recommend it. As will happen, I coincidentally came across a post on the bicycling subreddit on Reddit about a guy who got a new patch for his bag:

"Best birthday present ever! Any other d/Deaf riders?"

Interesting to think about experiencing a bike ride with no sound. A woman in Portland (no surprise) started a campaign and site for these patches. Bonus: The comments section is full of assholes derailing the conversation for cycling safety, car rights etc.
   Here are some patch examples:

It's always neat to learn about another part of cycling I was unaware of.

Friday WTF: Fan Involvement Edition

Remember last year in the Tour de France when the Orica Green Edge bus got stuck under the finish line banner?

 This pic says it all:

"Someone kill me."

That was a real bummer for everyone involved. Here's a overhead infrastructure disaster that gave fans a chance to get involved from the Tour Down Under. The inflatable banner was punctured (by some some fixed gear riders tight pants, probably) but fear not, fans to the rescue. As a fellow tall guy, this would have been my time to shine.

"God job, good job guys. Keep it up, nice race. Good Job. Nice job. Keep it up. How many people are in this race? Good job."

I'm Back

The last couple months have been a whirlwind of babies, bikes, and au pairs. Wesley Harrison was born on Nov 27, Thanksgiving, 2014. He is healthy and happy and has a fat little chin. All that means blogging takes a backseat to pretty much everything.

Calvin suspects what is happening

I have been working on some cool projects, though! Cargo bike boxes and single speed mountain bikes! Try to contain your excitement the updates will start coming regularly.

Party hard
